Captured is an immersive installation, which captures your face and creates a new identity for you in a virtual community.
Captured enables people to step into a virtual community as a digital double, making them both actors and spectators of the experience. The doubles take different roles in a simulation modeling unpredictable moods in human crowd behavior.

Bully, Target or Bystander ?
Captured simulates how individual freedom is taken over by collective instincts. The audience is integrated into the work itself, becoming actors and participants in the story through their virtual surrogates.
Hanna Haaslahti is a director and media artist working with image and interaction, based in Helsinki, Finland.
Her primary interest is computer vision and its social implication on human relations. She has exhibited her work in numerous international media art festivals and galleries, including Ars Electronica, Hamburg Kunsthalle, HEK (Basel), and Watermans (London). Most recently her work has been part of CPH:LAB 2018, Venice Film Festival Gap-Financing Market 2019, Lift 2019, and VRHAM 2020. She was a Sundance New Frontier Story Lab fellow in 2020.
